Ghost towns are fun.
My favorite is Randsburg:

It has an old fashioned soda fountain with really good malts.
Of course, when Sherri and I went there last year, when the woman working there heard we are from Orange, she asked "Isn't there a malt shop in downtown Orange?"
I love Watson's malts, but there is something about getting a malt in the middle of nowhere. Also, Watsons doesn't have an old cowboy with no teeth talking to you the whole time.
